Version 5.0

About the Amateur Scientist Complete Anthology + Technical Library V. 5.0

By Shawn Carlson

Welcome to The Amateur Scientist Anthology + Technical Library–the most extensive collection of technical knowledge ever assembled for mad scientists, educators, and science fair students around the globe. Published by the Fellowship of Mad Scientists, this unparalleled resource is the definitive archive for anyone passionate about citizen science, hands-on experimentation, and scientific ingenuity.

Now in version 5.0, this latest release is a greatly expanded and improved edition of version 4.0. It features a newly restructured and significantly broadened technical library, plus an enriched historical archive tracing the roots of the citizen science movement all the way back to 1925–three years before the debut of the column that would eventually evolve into The Amateur Scientist.

With tens of thousands of files and countless curated links, this compendium has grown into a digital universe of scientific exploration. In earlier versions, many links pointed to partner organizations whose websites have since changed or gone offline. To solve this, we are actively migrating and redirecting these resources to our own platform, ensuring long-term access and a smoother, more reliable user experience.
